Sundays
We now meet twice on Sunday mornings at 9am and 11am at Worthing High School in South Farm Road. (Click here for a map)
Every Sunday meeting is a blank canvas in that we expect God to speak and meet with us and as such anything could happen, so don’t hold us to the following schedule. Having said that there are two elements to every Sunday gathering of the church: worship and preaching from the bible.
You can expect that we will begin with a couple of songs and then someone will preach. After the preach we will have a time of singing worship led by a band with guitars, keyboards and drums. People will pray out or share something from the bible or something they believe God has given them to encourage the church in its worship or in following Jesus. Sometimes someone will pray out 'in tongues' – a language given by God that the speaker does not understand, but we will expect God to also give someone the interpretation so that the church is encouraged.
Children's Meetings – New Times At the 9am meeting: Children under 10 years old start their groups at 9am. This includes Crèche (0-3 years); Sparklers (3-5 years); and Live Wires (5-9 years). At the 11am meeting: We now have full kids meetings starting at 11am including Crèche (0-3 years); Sparklers (3-5 years); and Live Wires (5-9 years).
Young People's Meetings – New Times At the 9am meeting: Encounter (10-12 years) and Katalyst (13-16 years) start their groups at 9.45am. At the 11am meeting: Encounter and Katalyst start their groups at 11.45am.
We believe the bible to be the main way that God speaks to us so we give a significant amount of time to preaching & teaching from the bible. This is usually done by one of the three elders but we will also have guest speakers and sometimes other members of the church will be invited to speak.
