Being involved
Romans 12:4–8 reads: Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
(NIV)The best way to get involved in the life of the church is to get yourself on a serving team. There are many teams with many roles, so you're sure to fit in somewhere. Being part of a team is a great way to get to know others in the church. Contact the office if you would like to join a team or take a look at the Serving Teams page that gives more detail. You can also be involved in our community work through the FOOD BANK project (please call Julie Denyer) or Practical Help / Befriending project (please call Peter Fitzgerald), or reaching out to ' the nations on our doorstep' (please call Outi Clifford) or the office on 01903 821921. We always need help for Special events which are organised 2-3 times a year. If you are good at cooking, or setting up and have creative talent, you are the person we are looking for! If you would like to be part of a team, please call Outi Clifford on 01903 821921 or 753281.
