The bible describes the Church as a body made up of many parts with Jesus as the head. At Jubilee we believe people connect well with God and each other by serving, so there are lots of opportunities to serve at Jubilee.
Serving on a Sunday
Whether your gifting is catering, welcoming, technical or computing, sound systems, practical, youth or children – there are many ways to serve the gathered Church community on a Sunday morning. If you are new, serving on teas and coffees, or on welcome, is a particularly good way to meet people and make new friends.
As a community we are pursuing a transformational relationship with Jesus. We believe part of that transforming involves serving our wider community.
It is our desire to show the love of Jesus to the diverse people of the Worthing area who are marginalised or struggling in life. Our aim is not just to provide immediate help, training or relief, but to raise them up to restore their confidence and dignity and help them fulfil their potential.
Part of the outworking of that desire has led to the inception of several projects which include:
Jubilee Soup Run
Cap Money Course
Serving in the nations
At Jubilee we believe God is building a multi-cultural community that is quite unique in our increasingly polarised culture. This not only means embracing the nations on our doorstep, but serving nations overseas. We are currently involved in Lesotho and Albania, and we have released a family to serve in each of these nations within a local church context. From time-to-time teams travel to these nations to serve the churches we are working with and God seems to be opening up more nations and continents as we partner with other churches around the world.
Jubilee is part of Regions Beyond, a network of churches within the Newfrontiers church family. For more information about Regions Beyond visit www.regions-beyond.net
